Uhl House /
Gordon S.V. Andrews House
It is located at what is now 2259 Clove Road. It was built by Colonel Henry W Uhl.
The Uhl family property extended to both sides of what is now Clove Road from Sweezy Creek north to what is now North Clove Road.
Colonel Uhl co-led an effort to build a Christian Church located several miles north of what is now Clove Cemetery. The Uhl family's occupation included being a tanner. The bodies of Colonel Henry Uhl and several other family members were moved from the family burial ground at this site to Clove Cemetery.
The Andrews family used the land as a dairy farm.
It was built circa 1750. It may be the third or fourth oldest house in the Clove.
On the 1867 map it is labeled as belonging to Colonel H. Uhle.
On the 1876 map the site is listed as belonging to N. T. Uhle.
